Alpharetta real estate offers a truly terrific home for lovers of the suburban lifestyle. Wow, what things have developed here even just in the last decade! You'll be impressed. Atlanta is consistently ranked one of the top cities in the U.S. for business and family life, and Alpharetta is one of the hottest markets in Atlanta for both commercial and residential real estate. Excellent schools, shopping, and access to jobs combined with plenty of green space and a down-home country atmosphere have made Alpharetta one of the premiere locations in Atlanta today. We were even chosen by Nick Jr. Family Magazine as one of the Ten Most Playful Towns in America in 2004 - with all our activities, parks, athletics and absolutely terrific neighborhood communities.
Alpharetta, east & west of 400 is a very popular area for residents. Wills Park at the corner of Old Milton Parkway and Wills Road (just west of GA 400), will give you and your family all the park pleasures you could want - pool, softball, a huge playground, open areas, tennis, basketball, indoor facilities and even an equestrian area. Alpharetta's 4th of July fireworks display is even held there. Dog owners will also love the dog park that has been added - open dawn to dusk. Park at the Will's Park community on Roswell Street and walk behind the building to find the lovely fully fenced area that has been set aside so our furry little friends to play together. The park is separated to offer an area for larger dog breeds and another for the smaller models.
About the only problem with Alpharetta is that with all the beautiful new subdivisions, certain arterial roads couldn't handle all the new residents. But at last, the long awaited road widening in the area is underway. Cause for much concern was the heavy bottlenecking, particularly on the east side around Jones Bridge Road. When searching for a home here, take the time to check your commute before selecting your subdivision. With some of the several road widening projects still a couple years off, your drive may be temporarily affected by those issues. It might be reasonable to expect upon completion of the current road widening projects, real estate values on that side of Alpharetta could feel a bump because of the easing of traffic congestion.
